D2N2 – the Local Enterprise Partnership for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire – is hitting the road during June for a second series of breakfast briefings to meet with businesses and other partners.
The events will give local firms and partner organisations the chance to find out more about the LEP, its activities to date and its future plans, as well as feeding in their views and identifying any key priorities or issues which may influence the LEP’s Growth Plan, investment initiatives, skills strategy and its work on business regulation.
Six events proved a big success during March and April, as the LEP headed out to the likes of Mansfield, Worksop, Buxton and Ashbourne, as well as Nottingham and Derby, and now another four have been confirmed across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire prior to D2N2 launching its Growth Plan at Pride Park Stadium, in Derby, on Tuesday July 9.
The breakfasts – which are free to attend – run from 7.30am to 10am and take place at the following venues:
- Wednesday, June 19 – Kelham House Country Manor, Newark
- Thursday, June 20 – Woodborough Hall, Nottingham
- Wednesday, June 26 – Fox and Goose Inn, Old Brampton, Chesterfield
- Thursday, June 27 – Best Western, Long Eaton
D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership was established in December 2010 to drive economic growth, job creation and prosperity across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
D2N2 Chief Executive David Ralph said: “We found our first series of six business breakfasts very engaging and received a lot of feedback as a result. We have listened to where people wanted us to go next and will stage another four in June prior to the launch of our Growth Plan on July 9.
“These free events will give local businesses and partners the opportunity to find out more about D2N2 and its plans for the future and I would encourage all businesses who want to have their say about the support they need to grow to express an interest and attend.”
