A record number of exhibitors attended the major summer networking event organised by enterprise agency Erewash Partnership.
Forty-six exhibitors, ranging from small start-ups to those which export across the globe, showed off their expertise and goods at the event at Lakeside Hallo, Kirk Hallam Community Technology and Sports College. The event also showcased manufacturing and engineering.
Around 200 people attended, including Peter Richardson, chairman of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership, which had earlier revealed its strategy for growth to support an extra 55,000 jobs over the next 10 years.
Peter said: “I was delighted to attend the Partnership’s event, talk to to exhibitors and delegates and see some examples of the area’s businesses and entrepreneurial talents.”
Partnership chief executive Ian Viles said: “We have received excellent feedback from exhibitors and delegates and also pleased to see last year’s record of 45 exhibitors beaten.”
One, Jun Cheung, from Unknown Creatives, tweeted: “Had a great time at the Erewash Partnership summer networking event. Met loads of great businesses.”
