D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership Chairman Peter Richardson today joined Lord Michael Heseltine at a Regional Growth Fund roadshow in Loughborough.
The event marked the opening of round five of RGF and saw Lord Heseltine address the audience about the difference RGF can make to creating jobs.
Funds are available for bidders from the private sector seeking £1m or more for high-quality projects and programmes that leverage private sector investment and create sustainable jobs.
It also featured a presentation on how to make a successful bid before Mr Richardson joined Lord Heseltine on a four-strong panel to take part in a Q&A session with those attending.
Although LEPs can’t bid for more funds from round six, they can support bids and those companies in the D2N2 area seeking lower grants can look to our own RGF programme, Unlocking Investment for Growth.
It provides grants in support of capital investment projects with a minimum overall project value of £200,000. In exceptional circumstances up to £500,000 of grant funding is available for projects that can demonstrate real potential to create new jobs.
