The ‘Growing a Local Low Carbon Employment & Business Sector’ conference in Nottingham on Wednesday November 6 will bring together cities and regions from across the UK to share experiences as to how the low-carbon sector is being harnessed to create jobs and businesses.

Free Skills Support for the Workforce available to SMEs in the D2N2 area
West Nottinghamshire College is helping lead the Skills Support for the Workforce programme which provides free training for small and medium businesses in the D2N2 area to help them up-skill their workforce.
Fully-funded by the European Social Fund, this is an opportunity for individuals to update their skills and knowledge and for employers to plug their skills gap at no extra cost.

Unlocking Investment for Growth
D2N2’s £5m UI4G programme continues to be open to new applications and has recently been bolstered by a further injection of capital support from the European Regional Development Fund.
The programme will provide a grant in support of capital investment projects with a minimum overall project value of £200,000. In exceptional circumstances up to £500,000 of grant funding is available for projects that can demonstrate real potential to create new jobs. The process is competitive and applications will be rigorously assessed.
