Young people across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire are set to benefit from the biggest skills and careers event in the country, taking place on November 14 to 16.
For the second year running, this FREE show, taking place at the NEC in Birmingham will open the doors to a world of opportunities for city and county residents.
Spread across five halls, visitors can meet some of the biggest names in industry, get face-to-face careers advice and hear ‘spotlight talks’ from experts giving real-life, practical insights and guidance into the world of work and skills.
Showcase performances by students from further education colleges across the country will also demonstrate the wide range of skills covered by courses, including theatrical make up, food preparation, circus skills and even hair sculpture.
Already 3,000 studdents from the D2N2 area have registered for the event and there are opportunities to “have a go” at over 40 new skills or activities, in careers from television presenting to computer design and landscape gardening. An abundance of information will be available on vocational courses, training programmes and Apprenticeships.
