Chief Executive David Ralph outlined the vision of D2N2 – the Local Enterprise Partnership for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire – at a Champions’ Breakfast in Chesterfield this morning.
Mr Ralph was invited as guest speaker for the event at the Winding Wheel today and spoke to about 50 businesses from the area.
Destination Chesterfield runs the Chesterfield Champions scheme – a powerful network helping to drive the development of the area’s economy, shape its future and showcase all that is good about the area.
Mr Ralph spoke about the case to Government being put forward by D2N2 through its Growth Plan, which is launched at Pride Park, in Derby, on Tuesday July 9.
And he outlined the funds already open to businesses through the LEP’s Growing Places Fund and Unlocking Investment for Growth.
Chesterfield Borough Council leader John Burrows closed the speeches by telling the Champions that it was key that they engaged with D2N2.
