Overview:

An exciting recent development is the emergence of Cleantech-digital businesses operating at the intersection of energy, building infrastructures, software and data analytics; SME’s who are developing digitally-enabled products and services that use data and technology to address environmental, energy and resource constraints.

This event will highlight opportunities and broker collaborations around the development of new digital products needed to achieve energy and resource efficiency in sustainable, ‘smart’ Cities like Nottingham. We will also consider how this emerging area of work is creating a platform for new start-up businesses and the help available to support them.  Our speakers will include;

  • Benjamin Kott, Energy Deck (former Head of Google Energy), who will  present his perspective on the emerging opportunities for the cleantech-digital businesses drawing on the work of EnergyDeck  – a new type of energy and resource management tool based on a unique crowd source-driven web platform
  • Alex Moczarski – Nottingham City Council will give an end-user perspective on the types of challenges and business opportunities which will be created by the City’s smart energy community proposals including the pioneering Energy Company planned for Nottingham
  • Kevin Parslow C.E.O , Evance Wind Turbines Limited will outline the potential for new software and data applications to match intermittent renewable energy generation supply with demand patterns.

This is a joint event with Next Business Generation and will be followed by a buffet and a networking opportunity. The event is free to attend – click to register
