CHIEF Executive David Ralph was pleased with the engagement at our Business Breakfast at Kelham House Country Manor Hotel in Newark this morning.
And he is hoping for similar dialogue when D2N2 hosts its next business breakfast at Woodborough Hall Hotel, in Gedling, tomorrow (Thursday June 20) from 7.30am to 9.30am.
David Ralph outlined the work of D2N2 – the Local Enterprise Partnership for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire – before holding a lengthy Q&A with those attending.
Discussions continued on the upcoming Growth Plan, which will be launched at Pride Park Stadium next month, and D2N2’s key strategic priorities, including skills and infrastructure.
It also gave those attending a chance to raise concerns and issues relating to the local area.
Mr Ralph said: “We are trying to get out to as many places as possible and engage with businesses and those in the private and public sector.
“The D2N2 patch is such an interesting area with a mix of cities, market towns and rural and I want to let people know about the work the LEP is doing but also hear their views and feedback.
“I look forward to doing the same tomorrow at Woodborough Hall in the morning.”
D2N2 will also be hosting Business Breakfasts next week in Chesterfield and Long Eaton.
