DAVID Ralph has told businesses and key people across the public and private sector to reach out to D2N2 and engage.
The Chief Executive of the Local Enterprise Partnership for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire was speaking at a Business Breakfast at Woodborough Hall near Nottingham today.
It was the second of four business breakfasts being held this month prior to the Growth Plan Launch at Pride Park Stadium in Derby on Tuesday, July 9.
And Mr Ralph told those at the event in Gedling that engagement on the Growth Plan will continue throughout the year.
Mr Ralph said he would be happy to attend events held by the public and private sector to discuss the role of the LEP and its vision as it looks to shape the future and drive economic growth.
He said: “We want to hear from people and what they think. We are interested in what works.
“I have to convince Government that this LEP has a mechanism for delivering jobs.
“If you hold workshops, committees, sector groups, working groups, business clubs and the like, invite us, we want to engage. That is what this is all about.
“What I would say is don’t always wait for the LEP to come to you. Speak up, make propositions. We want to hear from you and get involved in the here and now.”
A business breakfast is being held in Old Brampton, Chesterfield, on Wednesday June 26 and the final one in Long Eaton on Thursday June 27. Book now for the free events, which run from 7.30am to 9.30am.
