FSB hosting two free events for businesses in D2N2 area

The FSB is holding two events in the D2N2 area during the next fortnight.

The first is Using Skills to Drive Business Growth (includes business lunch), this Thursday, September 5, from 9.30am to 12.30pm

It will take place at Casa Hotel, Lockoford Lane, Chesterfield, S41 7JB and speakers will be Julie Sansome, of InsideOut Performance, Craig Brothers, of Affari Media and The National Apprentice Scheme.

Getting the right skills into your business means business growth. There will be three informative presentations that will give you the information you need to; assess the skills required in your business to help it grow, explain the avenues available for getting those skills into your business and hear from Craig, a small business owner who decided that taking on an apprentice was the best choice for his business.

Another event, entitled How To Protect Your Business from Crime (includes business lunch), will be held on Thursday September 12, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

It will take place at Kelham Hall & Country Park, Main Road, Kelham, Nottinghamshire, NG23 5QX.

Speakers will be Paddy Tipping, the Nottinghamshire Police Crime Commissioner, Inspector Richard Stones, of Nottinghamshire Police and Detective Chief Inspector Mick Beattie, from the East Midlands Police Collaboration.

With two thirds of small firms experiencing crime and fraud, at a cost of up to £3,000 per business each year, police help and engagement is critical to reduce this burden and barrier to growth. Join the FSB for three informative presentations that will give you the information you need to protect your business against criminal activities.
