
D2N2 is proud to manage a £44.4 million allocation from the Getting Building Fund.
In July 2020, Government awarded D2N2 £44.4m to fund ‘shovel-ready’ projects to help the local economy and create jobs.
The funding forms part of a comprehensive plan by the government to deliver upgrades to local infrastructure and boosting skills in a move to fuel economic recovery across the whole of the UK in the wake of Coronavirus.
D2N2 received the sixth largest allocation of the 38 LEPs in England with £900m being awarded nationally across 300 projects.
The funds will be used to improve digital infrastructure; support skills and career opportunities; and the transition to a low carbon economy.
Ten projects have now allocated funding from across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, and Nottinghamshire.
