THE name of a business park in Derby which will create up to 8,000 jobs has been revealed.
At the Derby City Embassy event, which took place in London on Tuesday night, the new identity of the 250-acre commercial park next to Rolls-Royce’s civil aerospace division, between Sinfin and Chellaston, was announced by city leaders as Infinity Park.
Infinity Park – the 250-acre commercial park next to Rolls-Royce’s civil aerospace division, between Sinfin and Chellaston – will cost £200 million to construct.
The title replaces the working title of the development, which was the Global Technology Cluster.
Infinity Park aims to replicate the success of Pride Park, which is now full.
At the event, which took place at the headquarters of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), more than 100 business leaders from Derby, as well as key investors from the capital, were updated on the progress of Infinity Park and other developments in the city.
The aim of the event, organised by Derby City Council and Marketing Derby, was to bring together key businesses with the aim of attracting investment.
