If you’re searching for work in Newark, you can get a helping hand from Nottinghamshire County Council at a Job Search Workshop on Thursday September 12 (10am to 12noon).
The free workshop is taking place at the weekly Newark Work Club, which is held every Thursday at Newark Library, Beaumond Gardens, Baldertongate.
The event will give jobseekers the chance to discover the latest job search techniques, tap into the ‘hidden jobs’ market and find out how to get the most from the time spent looking for job opportunities.
Newark Work Club is free of charge to attend and gives people the chance to meet others looking for work, build new contacts, share job hunting experiences and get advice on job searches, job applications, interview techniques, CVs, volunteering and training opportunities.
In addition to the regular sessions, special events like the Job Search Workshop take place from time to time, including guest speakers from local employers and confidence building workshops.
Newark Work Club is one of eight based at libraries across Nottinghamshire.
