Senior figures from D2N2 – the Local Enterprise Partnership for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire – enjoyed a productive meeting with the recently-formed Local Nature Partnership.
The LNP for Lowland Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, which was set up by the Government last year, invited our Chief Executive David Ralph and Chairman Peter Richardson to discuss and explore areas of mutual interest.
The Local Nature Partnership is chaired by Tony Walker, the Deputy Managing Director of Toyota UK and the meeting was held at the company’s Burnaston headquarters in Derbyshire.
Dr Alison Millward, the LNP’s facilitator, gave a presentation while Board member Tony Hams and Heather Stokes, of Notts County Council, were also in attendance.
The LNP’s vision is to help businesses, communities and individuals to create and enjoy the benefits of a better natural environment.
D2N2 Chairman Peter Richardson and Chief Executive David Ralph were pleased with how the meeting went and welcomed any feedback from Mr Walker and his Board into our Growth Plan, which is being consulted on at present and agreed to look at ways of working together in the future.
