Mansfield’s First Business Showcase Event!

Over 50 businesses joined together to demonstrate to the wider community that Mansfield is a great place to do business. On the 29th May Mansfield town centre was transformed into a business hub for organisations and bodies that can help any business be, see and do business in Mansfield.

The event delivered valuable information and support from all the exhibitors and included Q & A sessions with Mansfield District Council were businesses asked direct questions concerned with planning, licensing and grants. Followed by employment and apprenticeship advice for any business with the desire to employ a young person and the opportunities available to them.

UKTI, Barclays Bank and Purpose Media then went on to guide businesses and provide advice based on expanding your business and help to explore the idea of trading internationally.

This event was the first of its kind for Mansfield. This initiative was founded by Award winning business club Mansfield 2020 with their partners Mansfield BID, A Star Media and Mansfield, Ashfield District Council.

The partnership was formed to showcase all the professional services available locally and catered for businesses with the desire to do, see or be a business in Mansfield.

The event organisers commented ‘Our main objective was to showcase our business community and bring people together. The event demonstrated the strong desire to work together – not only to boost business but put this town on the map. It was about showcasing the positive aspects of our business community within our vibrant town centre.

This event will now be hosted annually and everything positive will be built on to drive the ‘be, see and do business in Mansfield message to the wider community and beyond.
