Way2Work is a three-year project, led by Nottingham City Council, which supports unemployed and economically inactive D2N2 residents of any age to progress into work.
While the project can support anyone who is finding it difficult to find a job, it is aiming to help significant numbers of people in groups with higher levels of unemployment.
These include those without basic numeracy, literacy and English language skills, people aged over 50, people with disabilities or long term or significant health conditions, those living in single adult households, and those from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities.
Project participants will receive one to one support from an advisor employed by one of the 12 Organisations which form the Way2Work partnership.
These partners include Local Authorities, Education & Training Providers and Charities based across the D2N2 region.
The Way2Work project is part funded by the European Union through the European Social Fund.
