East Midlands Business Ltd (EMB) has secured £5.4million in European funding from the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership, for its Growth and Innovation Programme.
The D2N2 area Growth and Innovation Programme is a partnership initiative which brings together partner grant schemes operating in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire; the area for which the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership works to promote economic growth and create jobs.
The partner grant schemes are:
- Derby and Derbyshire Enterprise Growth Fund (D2EGF)
- University of Derby Invest to Grow scheme
- University of Nottingham N2 Business Growth Programme
The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funding secured by EMB – a leading accreditation, risk management and business improvement consultancy based in Leicester – is part of the larger €250million in European Structural and Investment Funds (to be spent 2014-2020) administered by the D2N2 LEP.
This additional financing will increase the amount of grant funding available from each of the three schemes; enabling them to provide more intensive support for business and to support a greater number of businesses, wishing to invest in innovation and growth and create new jobs. Grants range from £15,000 to £500,000.
The D2N2 Growth and Innovation Programme is led by East Midlands Business Ltd, working in partnership with the following organisations:
