Nottingham Sheriff Drops in to Turner & Townsend

Sheriff of Nottingham Councillor Jackie Morris will be dropping into the city office of construction consultancy Turner & Townsend to find out more about the company’s international reach.

In a strategic visit tomorrow (Wed) Coun Morris will be learning more about Turner & Townsend’s international offices – including China and India, two countries which Nottingham City Council and its inward investment team at Invest in Nottingham are highlighting as potential areas for growth.

Director at Turner & Townsend Peter Orton, and regional director Mark Deakin, will be showing Coun Morris around the office – along with David Ralph, chief executive of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership.

Mr Deakin said: “We are delighted to welcome Coun Morris to our offices in Nottingham – and we are pleased that David Ralph is also attending this special visit.

“We will be looking at ways that our company can work closely with Invest in Nottingham to help build relationships with business leaders overseas.”

Turner & Townsend, which is providing project management, strategic support and technical advice to the city council on the Net Phase Two tram extension, have also been involved with the Top Valley Food Bank project, a cause dear to the Sheriff’s heart.
