Chauffeur company HQ is the driving force behind new centre for small businesses

An old building in Stapleford has been transformed into the headquarters for one company and a working base for others.

The building, a former restaurant on Nottingham Road,  which had been empty for almost a year, has been refurbished to become the dedicated national headquarters of Pinnacle Chauffeur Transport, which provides chauffeur-driven vehicles for mainly corporate clients.

But, in addition to moving Pinnacle’s nerve centre from Sandiacre, managing director Trevor Langley saw the potential of the building to help other businesses.

So in addition to having Pinnacle’s base on the ground floor he has created four office suites upstairs. Equipped with state-of-the-art cabling and fibre optic broadband, they can accommodate between one and three people.  There is a meeting room with large screen for presentations and there are also kitchen facilities and toilets.

People can take on offices or use the facilities for hot-desking and co-working in what Trevor hopes will be a small business community helping each other in a professional and friendly way. There will also be reception staff to handle phone and mail in the centre, called Pinnpoint.

“There may be small businesses which started from home and have now outgrown that and need somewhere else, or others which just need a base. Either way, Pinnpoint can fill that gap,” said Trevor.

“Importantly, Pinnpoint offers a working environment for those who do not want the onerous rush-hour commuting to and from Nottingham city centre. Equally, its location is handy for visiting clients in Nottingham, Derby, or up and down the M1 just minutes away.”
