Vouchers Programme Now Available for Small Businesses

Businesses can now take advantage of the Small Business Charter’s Growth Vouchers Programme, for support addressing strategy, growth issues and business management.

Applicants who are granted entry to the full programme are eligible to receive a Government grant of £3,000 towards a full course of important business advice*.

Led by Aston Business School, the programme is delivered by a national consortium of six leading Business Schools across the UK, including those at Nottingham University and Nottingham Trent University.

All applicants can participate in a free half day growth diagnostic workshop in Nottingham on 4th March, to evaluate growth opportunities. Those who attend will work with experienced faculty and business mentors to develop an action plan to unlock the full potential of their business.

Businesses allocated a voucher for the full programme will be able to take advantage of workshops covering growth opportunities and competitor analysis, managing cash flow and finances, marketing strategies vital to small businesses and raising the finance to deliver ambition.

Small business owner managers will also receive up to 10 hours with a dedicated business mentor – there to help guide businesses through growth planning and how best to apply the tools and learning from the workshops.

Criteria for the Growth Voucher Programme applicants includes:

  • Have 1-19 employees
  • Have an annual turnover of less than £3.2 million (€4 m)
