Places are still available for businesses to learn how the worldwide web could benefit their business, at the free Digital Derbyshire Conference and Expo next Thursday (April 16) – with the D2N2 Growth Hub team in attendance.
The event running from 9:15am to 4pm, at Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens, St John’s Road, Buxton,is open to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) looking to find out how to take advantage of the new and exciting opportunities available to them to market goods and services, via the internet.
D2N2 – the Local Enterprise Partnership for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire – is fully committed to the delivery of superfast broadband across its area. It is in investing £4.8m through its Local Growth Fund to ensure businesses in the area can gain access to the advantages of high-speed internet. There will be an update on the progress of this project at the conference.

The D2N2 Growth Hub team, which encourages and aids business growth, will be at the event and happy to talk to delegates.
Also at the conference will be speakers from UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS). Social networking expert Liam Lally will be on hand to give advice on managing online activity.
This event is funded by Derbyshire County Council, the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce and the European Regional Development Fund, and will be managed and delivered by the East Midlands Chamber’s eBusiness Club team.
