A free ‘surgery’ on how skills and training providers can access a £3.2million fund to aid youth employment in the Nottingham City area will be held next Wednesday (April 22).
The D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership – which promotes jobs creation, skills and training, and economic growth in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire – is running the surgery for organisations keen to bid for funding through the European Social Fund (ESF) Youth Employment Initiative (Nottingham).
D2N2 officers will hold a free surgery from 1.30pm-4.30pm next Wednesday (April 22) at the Nottingham City Council offices, Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham (NG2 3NG).
Bidding organisations have until Friday May 22 to submit their project bid for funding aimed at creating more ‘Inclusive Labour Markets’ within Nottingham City. Organisations do not have to be Nottingham-based but their project must be delivered in and benefit the City area.
Potential bidders will be able to:
- Find out how the bidding process works, its systems and timescales.
- Get an overview of the priorities in D2N2’s Strategic Economic Plan for its area.
- Gain insight into the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) ‘call’ for project bids, with a focus on the local priorities and strategic context for Nottingham.
- Have an opportunity to network and collaborate with other organisations.
Surgery session spaces are limited to 50 places, so only one representative per organisation can attend the surgery. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
