Tickets are still available for Bakewell Business Breakfast

Places are still available for a free breakfast event taking place this week (Wednesday), organised and delivered by the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

The third in a series of D2N2 Business Breakfasts will be taking place on Wednesday, November 4 at the Agricultural Business Centre (pictured) in Bakewell, Derbyshire (DE45 1AH) and will run from 7:30am to 9:30am. This will provide a great opportunity for businesses to meet, network and find out about the work of D2N2.

D2N2 – the Local Enterprise Partnership covering Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire – has been holding a series of these events to keep a range of businesses across its area updated with its work and future plans to boost economic growth across the region and create jobs, as part of its mission to create 55,000 new jobs by 2023.

The previous two events were held at Nottingham’s New Art Exchange and the University of Derby’s Enterprise Centre. These featured a talk from D2N2 Chief Executive David Ralph, as well as a speaker from one of the areas in which the LEP does business and a guest business speaker.

This Wednesday’s event will also have a speech from the D2N2 Chief Executive, as well as a talk from D2N2 Capital Projects Manager Kevin Hopkinson – who will speak on how the LEP has managed and administered £194million of Local Growth Funding, as well as possible future Growth Funding projects. Also speaking will be Group Managing Director of Alfreton-based corrugated packaging company Charapak.

The event will also provide delegates with a chance to see a short video on the work of the LEP in 2014/15, as well as providing invaluable networking opportunities. There will be further breakfast events held later this month, at Retford Town Hall (November 10), Chesterfield’s Proact Stadium (November 18) and Kelham Hall at Newark (November 25).
