New D2N2 report looks to clarify business implications of UK exit from EU

A new report commissioned by the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership aims to look at the potential effects for businesses, of the UK leaving the European Union (EU).

A referendum on the UK’s membership of the EU will be held on Thursday June 23.

The D2N2 report – entitled The Implications for D2N2 Businesses of a UK Exit from the European Union – aims to set out the potential effects of a British exit from the EU, or ‘Brexit’, on a wide range of topics. It looks at areas such as access to foreign markets, labour supply, business investment and how different sectors might be affected.

The LEP’s publication does not recommend business owners vote ‘in’ or ‘out’ but is designed to give businesses in its area information to help them form their own opinion on the Referendum question.

An online copy of the report – which will be presented to and discussed at D2N2’s Board Meeting tomorrow (Friday April 1) – is available to read by clicking HERE .
