D2N2 Chief Executive to speak at Midlands Development Conference

The inaugural Midlands Development Conference will feature a range of regional speakers, including D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership Chief Executive Sajeeda Rose.

More than 300 delegates involved in the property, development, infrastructure and construction industries are set to attend the Conference on Thursday May 23, from 8am to 5pm, at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

The event – organised by Built Environment Networking – is being staged to maximise opportunities arising from investment in infrastructure projects across the Midlands, by encouraging more collaboration and partnerships between the public and private sector agencies involved. Speakers will present on topics including the Midlands Engine, high speed rail network HS2, using infrastructure to link communities, universities’ growth and housebuilding.

D2N2 LEP Chief Executive Sajeeda Rose (pictured), and fellow CEOs from the Coventry & Warwickshire and Worcestershire LEPs, will also jointly speak on the topic Local Enterprise Partnerships; Their role in the future vision. They will talk about LEPs’ role in the Midlands future, and how they’d look to provide input into the region’s economic growth plans.

Construction is a primary sector for the D2N2 LEP. It also puts significant investment into part-funding infrastructure projects in its area via its Local Growth Fund allocation; funding supplied by the UK Government to back capital projects which can be shown to directly benefit economic growth and jobs creation.
