GoDaddy, the world’s largest web domain name registrar, will lease 26,800 feet of Grade A office space at Beeston Business Park – one of four sites in the Nottingham and Derby Enterprise Zone strategically managed by the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership.
The US tech company has taken a ten-year lease. It will be based on the ground floor of the two-storey, 85,000 sq ft Waterfront House office building.
Beeston Business Park
Located close to its sister Enterprise Zone site, at Alliance Boots, Beeston Business Park is a currently undergoing £40million worth of investment.
Providing a range of office space and industrial units from 100 to 900,000 square feet, the site is located along the main railway line connecting Nottingham to London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Businesses already located there include Siemens, SMS Technologies and ATOS, making it a strong location for ICT and technology led-businesses.
The Nottingham and Derby Enterprise Zone sites also include Alliance Boots (mentioned above) and Nottingham Science Park in Nottinghamshire, and Infinity Park Derby.
Go Daddy
GoDaddy, which is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, will relocate its staff from its current Nottingham city-centre premises on Castle Boulevard to Waterfront House at Beeston Business Park.
The new, larger location provides room for expansion and the organisation joins research organisation Worldwide Clinical Trials as the second occupier within the building.
GoDaddy has nearly 19million customers, with 78million domains under management, and employs more than 9,000 people worldwide. It has additional UK bases in Slough, Berkshire; Hayes, West London; and Woking, Surrey.
Commenting on the company’s relocation, GoDaddy’s Head of EMEA Workplace, Hayley Samuels, said: “GoDaddy’s continued growth in the UK meant our expanding Nottingham team was spread across several adjoining buildings. It has become essential that we now bring all our people together into one open-plan office.”
“These offices give us an inspiring space close to a nature reserve which together will encourage creativity, boost productivity and help produce first-class results.”
