Sherwood Energy Village Reaches Full Occupancy

Agents overseeing the lease of the Sherwood Energy Village in north Nottinghamshire have announced the occupation of all ten units just five months after completion.

As part funders of the £3.3million project, D2N2 allocated £500,000 from its Local Growth Fund towards completion of the mixed-use space for business and industry.

Built on a former coalfields site, the Sherwood Energy Village provides a range of units from 2,000 sq.ft. to 5,500 sq.ft. arranged across 3 terraces.

With easy access to major transport links including the A1 and A614 and a campus-style layout complete with gated boundary, the high-quality buildings proved extremely attractive to potential tenants.

Nearby occupiers include the British Red Cross, Centre Parcs HQ, JDA Architects, and Tesco.

Full Capacity

D2N2 Tom Goshawk, Head of Capital Programmes said, “Here at D2N2 we are extremely pleased to see that the units at the Sherwood Energy Village have reached full occupancy so quickly. We chose to strategically invest in this site to offer employment opportunities and economic growth to the local economy and the project is demonstrating this through its success for local businesses and people.”

Sean Bremner of Commercial Property Partners LLP (CPP), agents for the development said: “The quick take-up of these units demonstrates the appetite and demand for good quality small commercial premises across our region. It was a pleasure to work with CRT in configuring the layout and seeing the scheme deliver a multitude of occupiers introducing jobs and skillsets to the area”.

Paul White, of Brown & Co added: “We’re pleased to have seen such enthusiasm for the units at Centric – the interest we’ve received highlights the demand for brand new industrial and business space in the East Midlands, and we’re confident that the tenants will be very happy on site.”
