Nine businesses will soon be able to benefit from office space in Stapleford’s new business hub, as Broxtowe Borough Council begins work to transform the old Police Station site.
The site, which has been vacant for several years, will be refurbished into nine offices of varying sizes, as well as kitchen and break out facilities for new or expanding businesses, thanks to a £92,000 investment from D2N2’s Local Growth Fund.
Stapleford Business Hub
The Stapleford Business Hub is the second which has been developed by the Council and follows on from the successful hub in Beeston which is now home to 5 businesses.
As well as affordable rental rates, the new hub will benefit from dedicated business support, intercom system and parking. The shared space will also offer fantastic networking opportunities with other businesses in the hub.
D2N2 Head of Capital Programmes, Tom Goshawk said, “D2N2 is pleased to be investing in this project right at the heart of Stapleford Town Centre. Through our intervention, we are aiming to contribute new jobs to the local economy as well as diversifying the High street to offer high-quality accommodation for new and existing SME’s.”
Leader of the council Councillor Milan Radulovic MBE: “This is great news for Stapleford. Not only will the new hub help support new and growing businesses to take the next steps, but it also brings a long-term vacant site back in to use and will bring new customers to Stapleford’s high street”
