Beeston Business Hub continues to grow

Broxtowe Borough Council has announced that work to turn the former Stapleford Police station into the second site of the Beeston Business Hub has begun.

The news comes as the Council announces that the first site of the Hub, located in Beeston town centre, has reached maximum occupancy.

The £175,000 Stapleford development will see nine new offices in the former Police Station building thanks to £92,135 of funding from D2N2s Local Growth Fund allocation.

The project is part of a wider sustainable development plan for the area to transform it into a multi-functional hub for the local business community.

Beeston Business Hub

Once renovations are complete the former Police Station will become the second site for the existing Beeston Business Hub; allowing businesses that have graduated from this incubation space more permanent, larger space, that offers the ability for them to grow their business further.

Eight Broxtowe Businesses are currently benefitting from the first phase of the Beeston Business Hub which transformed flats above retail space in the Beeston Town Centre.

The Hub’s first site is now fully let after marketing consultancy A&G Consulting joined Sisu Emotional Health and Coaching, Precise HR, Create Animate and K Creations in the hub, on the corner of Station Road.

Tom Goshawk, D2N2 Head of Capital Programmes said: “D2N2 has chosen to invest in the Stapleford Business Hub to create new jobs in the town centre and develop new high-quality office space in the town.”

“The works align well with our strategic aim of helping facilitate high-quality places and provide new uses for the changing town centre landscape.”

Chair of the Jobs and Economy Committee, Councillor Tim Hallam said: “The hub provides the first step for entrepreneurs to take on their first commercial premises. With dedicated business support, it’s great to see new local companies taking full advantage of this service.”
