Spaces available for employers to join Mental Health Productivity Pilot

Employers in D2N2 are being invited to join a new pilot trial to support and improve workplace mental health and wellbeing – with potential benefits including increased productivity and reduced absence rates.

The pilot is part of the Midlands Engine funded Mental Health Productivity Pilot (MHPP) which is led by the University of Warwick, together with the University of Birmingham and Mind, the mental health charity.

By signing up, organisations will have access to the pilot which includes three trial services focused on emotion regulation, sleep therapy and support for those already diagnosed and dealing with a mental health condition at work. More than 20 employers in the region are already signed up to take part in the trials, which will run until the end of 2021.

The team at MHPP are keen to encourage more employers to take part. There is no cost to join and the only input required is circulating information and providing the time and resource for employees to engage with the trial.

Supporting the Mental Health Productivity Pilot will give a clear message about an organisation’s commitment to their employees’ wellbeing. Participating employers will receive a report of the findings which is tailored to their organisation as much as possible while maintaining anonymity for employees.

For more information about the pilot and how to get involved, visit the Warwick University website.
