D2N2 team up with FSB to map local labour market need

D2N2 is working with the Federation of Small Business to create a Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) for Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire.

The LSIP will set out the key priorities and changes needed in the region to make post 16 technical education and training more responsive to local labour market needs.

By representing employer views, the LSIP will outline the skills most needed to support local economic growth and boost productivity and improve employability and progression for learners.D2N2 and FSB are extending an invitation to local businesses to get involved in the process.

An open meeting is scheduled to take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Nottingham on Thursday 15 December from 09.00-11.00.

By attending our LSIP events they will help to shape actionable priorities to ensure that locally we are better equipped to meet local needs and effectively join-up with other parts of the local skills system. Our Partnerships for Growth events give participants the opportunity to meet other employers, get a full update on the LSIP, as well as providing an opportunity to share experiences on accessing skills.
