The D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has appointed Becky Rix, business owner of Roadgas Limited to its board of directors. Following an open and transparent selection process, Becky will join the LEP from March 2021 as a new private-sector board member.
Roadgas supplies compressed and liquified gas refuelling infrastructure and equipment for dispensing alternative fuels in the industrial and transport sectors. Becky has responsibility for leading Roadgas’ strategic vision and the day to day marketing and communications activity.
Becky is also the current Chair of the Policy and Communications committee of the Gas Vehicle Network, representing all stakeholders working in the renewable gas refuelling industry.
Becky succeeds Emma Rigler who has taken up a new post outside the D2N2 region and will be stepping down from the board.
D2N2 LEP Chair, Elizabeth Fagan CBE said: “We are delighted to welcome Becky to our board of directors. This is an exciting time to be joining the D2N2 LEP with the recent launch of our recovery and growth strategy.
“Becky brings significant strategic leadership expertise with her role at Roadgas Limited and her work with the Gas Vehicle Network. We believe that her expertise on hydrogen and commitment to supporting fellow SMEs to de-carbonise will be a huge benefit to the work of D2N2, especially in the context of our ambition for a cleaner and greener region.
“I would also like to thank Emma Rigler for the significant contribution she has made over the past couple of years to the LEP and send her our good wishes for the future.”
Commenting on her appointment Becky, said: “I am delighted to be joining the D2N2 Board and sharing my experience as we look for opportunities to deliver a low carbon agenda. I think this as a very exciting time to be participating in the delivery of the Board’s future development as we focus on a green recovery and growth for the region.
“I am especially looking forward to learning more about diversity and challenges, listening and learning from colleagues and ensuring collaboration for all interested stakeholders.”
D2N2 Board appointments are for a three-year term, with the option for re-appointment for a further three-year period. All Board members sign up to a Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy to demonstrate their commitment to the highest standard of governance and propriety.
