D2N2 Growth Hub to mark third ‘birthday’

More than 6,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have engaged with the D2N2 Growth Hub, since it was launched three years ago.

The D2N2 Growth Hub – part of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership; the private sector-led partnership promoting economic and jobs growth across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire – was established in December 2014.

Its advisers work with businesses – from start-ups to established companies – to help them access growth finance, explore new market and export opportunities, develop new products, or assist with management training or expansion planning. Full details of all services are on the D2N2 Growth Hub website at www.d2n2growthhub.co.uk/

To mark the D2N2 Growth Hub’s third anniversary a free event for businesses will be held at The Village Hotel, Brailsford Way, Nottingham (NG9 6DL), next Monday (December 4) from 5pm to 8pm. (A photo of the D2N2 Growth Hub’s second anniversary event, at Nottingham’s Council House, in December 2016, is shown above).

Businesses that have benefited from Growth Hub services will be at the event, there will be advice from experts on accessing growth finance; and David Williams, businessman and Growth Hub Project Board Chair, will talk about future activities. There will also be an opportunity for businesses to network.

The Growth Hub team is looking for businesses to join them for a light buffet and a glass of fizz, and to find out how they can help their firms to grow.

A March 2017 survey of 200 D2N2 Growth Hub business clients found 88% (176) would recommend its services to another company and 73% (146) rated the service they’d received as ’good’ or ‘excellent’.

Lindsay Allen, D2N2 Growth Hub Senior Programme Manager (Sector Development), said: “The Growth Hub can help businesses, whether they are enterprises just setting up or well-established firms, in a range of ways. We can also put businesses in touch with our regional and national partners, for further assistance.

“Our third anniversary event will be a great chance for businesses to network and hear from companies who’ve worked with us, and seen the benefits.”

The third anniversary event is free to attend but places must be booked in advance. To book go to Events web page link www.d2n2growthhub.co.uk/events-training/7/event-details?id=3206
