In response to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, D2N2 Chair Elizabeth Fagan has issued the following statement:
D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership recognises the severe disruption Covid-19 is having across our region.
Our communities, high streets, cultural venues, and tourist attractions are feeling the immediate impact whilst key sectors such as aviation face unprecedented challenges.
We know that our region is a place that pulls together, and I ask everyone to support each other and work together throughout the coming months.
We welcome the Government’s commitment to do whatever it takes to protect business and jobs through the package of financial measures and business support announced in the budget and the Chancellors statement on Tuesday.
We are actively working with our national, regional, and local partners to ensure our businesses have access to all the information and guidance required.
We will continue to work with our partners in local authorities who will be at the front line of distributing the financial aid package of grants and rate relief needed for our businesses.
Our immediate focus will be to support them by signposting businesses to the right business support and application processes.
However, it may take a short period to be able to provide clarity on all the support available in this ever-changing situation.
At this time, it’s important that we continue to communicate with our business community and pass on your views and concerns to the Government.
D2N2 is actively working through our Growth Hub to provide the latest information for businesses.
I’d encourage anyone wanting to find any information from our partners and national government to visit our D2N2 Growth Hub website or call them on 0333 006 9178.
