Our Deputy Chair, David Williams, has received his MBE from His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire at the Derbyshire Lieutenancy meeting. The Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire, Mrs. Elizabeth Fothergill CBE DL, is His Majesty The King’s representative in the County.
David was honoured for his services to business and the economy in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire in the King’s Birthday Honours List earlier this year.
The King’s Birthday Honours mark the extraordinary contributions and service of people across the UK.
David said:
“It was an honour and a privilege to be presented with my MBE by Elizabeth Fothergill CBE DL, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire, in my home county.
As the Deputy Chair of D2N2 LEP, I am passionate about growing our local economy and ensuring the voice of business is listened to and championed across our region.
For me, it’s all about the whole team and I’m proud to have worked with and supported D2N2 for over ten years.”
Everyone at D2N2 LEP sends their warmest congratulations to David – we are all delighted, proud and so pleased for David on this prestigious recognition of his work.
