Geldards Chairman David Williams has been appointed Interim Chair of D2N2 with immediate effect.
David brings a wealth of experience on the board of the D2N2 and has been the Deputy Chair since September 2018.
Commenting on his appointment, David said: “It is a reflection of the reputation and quality of Elizabeth that she has been appointed to such a prestigious role.”
“It also reflects the strength and calibre of the leadership we have on the D2N2 board. I’m honoured to be asked to take on this interim role until Elizabeth returns.”

The change in role follows the appointment of current Chair Elizabeth Fagan as the interim Marketing Strategy Director for the newly formed NHS Track and Trace as its first Marketing Strategy Director in an interim capacity.
The appointment starts with immediate effect.
Elizabeth will play a key role in setting the overall marketing strategy for NHS Test and Trace.
The new service has been launched to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and therefore enable more people to get back to a more normal way of life.
Elizabeth was formerly Non-Executive Chairman and Managing Director of Boots UK and has been Chair of the Board of D2N2 since 2018.
On her appointment, Elizabeth Fagan CBE said: “My decision to be part of this national initiative is to help the nation in its response to the pandemic. I will continue to remain in touch and remain fully behind our collective ambitions for the region’s economy, especially as we move towards planning for recovery.”
