29th October 12:00-14:30,Nottingham University Business School, Dearing Building, Jubilee Campus, Nottingham NG8 1BB
Do you consider yourself to be a responsible business? Do you aspire to be more sustainable and active in your community? Or do you see sustainability as challenging to achieve. In either case we would love to hear from you!!
On the 29th of October we will be running an event to hear what support smaller businesses might need to be more sustainable working with Business in the Community (BitC) and United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).
If you are able to join us we would love to hear your perspectives on the opportunities and challenges for more sustainable business in the smaller organisation. For invested organisations we would ask you to contribute to focus groups on that day conducted with our MBA students. The questions will be around the opportunities and challenges for SMEs to be more sustainable and responsible.
For invitees from business, we shall begin the session at 12:00 NOON with a briefing on the event. We shall hear from Simon Brooks (University of Swansea) speaker on support in the regions, over lunch. After lunch we will ask you to split in to smaller working groups where students will discuss with you the opportunities and challenges for dealing with sustainability as a smaller organisation. We anticipate this session to close at 14:30. At this stage you are welcome to depart.
The students will work on presentations which will be delivered by video conference to the UN Global Compact in New York at 16:00. The day will close at 17:30. The presentations and discussion will be recorded on video and we can share this will you after the event.
If you are able to join us we would be most grateful. Registration for name badges and the programme can be found here:
