Expert advice for businesses at free University workshops – co-funded by D2N2

Businesses wanting to learn about leadership, communications, decision making and team dynamics can now book onto a series of upcoming free workshops held at the University of Nottingham.

Based at the University of Nottingham, Linguistic Profiling for Professionals (LiPP) are holding a series of free workshops for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Derby and Derbyshire area in May and October (2017).

All four workshops are free to attend as part of the £20.3million ‘Enabling Innovation’ programme. The programme is led by Nottingham, Derby and Nottingham Trent universities; and jointly funded by the universities and through European Regional Development Fund monies from the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership. Universities will use their technical expertise to help more than 2,000 D2N2 area small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) over three years; to invest in research and innovation, become more competitive, and to grow and create high-skilled jobs.

D2N2 is the private sector-led partnership promoting economic and jobs growth across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. The ERDF funding for Enabling Innovation is part of its €250m allocation in European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF); to help businesses in the area on a range of issues, grow the economy, improve skills and tackle social exclusion. The D2N2 Growth Hub is working with universities to enable SMEs to access their services in the programme.

Places on the workshops are free but must be booked in advance. They will be held by LiPP at the University of Nottingham, as follows:
