First of six D2N2 Business Breakfasts gets off to great start

The first of D2N2’s free 2015 Business Breakfasts was held today (October 15), attracting great feedback from the business and wider communities.

All tickets had been snapped up for this morning’s 60-seater event at the New Art Exchange in Gregory Boulevard, Hyson Green, Nottingham; to hear the latest on the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership’s current and future projects, and from guest speakers.

D2N2 Chief Executive David Ralph told the audience that the “time for planning was over” and that the LEP, and its partners, were pressing ahead with delivery of projects to promote economic growth in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Tim Farr, Board Member for the Lowland Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Local Nature Partnership (LNP), talked about the LNP’s activities and its joint work with D2N2.

Guest business speaker Andrew Pickin, a Commercial Partner at Shoosmiths LLP legal firm in Nottingham and D2N2’s Board Member for Business Engagement, gave an insight into his work in commercial law and the benefits for business of working actively with D2N2.
