Companies can learn about low-cost marketing using the internet and social media, at a free event jointly arranged by the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership’s Growth Hub team next week.
‘Marketing on a Shoestring’ is a collaboration between High Peak Borough Council, Business Peak District and the D2N2 Growth Hub. It will run from 9am- 11am on Wednesday June 24 at Glossop Municipal Buildings in Glossop, Derbyshire (SK13 8AF).
Duncan Wright, from Glossop-based BSA Marketing, will cover subjects such as how businesses can ‘tell their story’ on the worldwide web, getting marketing messages out when faced with a tight budget and how to use social media to build awareness of the company brand. The event will show businesses how the internet and social media can be a far less expensive way of marketing their business and communicating with customers.

It works across the area as a single point of contact for businesses to receive advice and support. Its website – at www.d2n2growthhub.co.uk – offers advice on starting up a business, growing an existing one, accessing financial support, employment and skills training, and exporting to international markets.
‘Marketing on a Shoestring’ is part of the High Peak Business Support Summer Programme. It offers opportunities including training courses, seminars and networking events to help local businesses develop and grow. All events are free of charge. Places must be booked in advance.
