Places are still available for a free breakfast event for Manufacturing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to learn about how they can boost their growth through exporting and what support is available to help.
D2N2 Growth Hub partner organisation UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) are holding the Boosting Growth through Exports event at Derby’s Silk Mill (DE1 3AF) this Thursday, May 21 from 8:00 – 11:00AM and will feature George Cowcher – Chief Executive of the East Midlands Chamber, Sid Bains – head of innovation and technology at Enscite, and Ian Harrison – Regional Director for UKTI in the East Midlands as speakers.
The D2N2 Growth Hub – a business support organisation serving Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, will also have a stand at the event. The D2N2 Growth Hub is committed to helping SMEs develop and grow, and offers free and impartial support and advice to businesses with aspirations of growth. Since it’s soft launch in December of 2014, the D2N2 Growth Hub has been dealing with an ever-increasing number of business enquiries month-on-month, and the D2N2 Growth Hub website is currently viewed over 3,000 times per month.

Boosting Growth through Exports is part of a series of events held by UKTI as part of its 6th Export week. Export week consists of a series of events across the UK designed to help businesses start to sell or increase sales of their products and services overseas. Numbers at previous Export weeks were over 17,000, with companies across the whole of the UK in attendance.
