Launch event will inspire Peak District businesses

Businesses in the Peak District who are keen to gain a marketing edge for their products and services can attend a free launch event at the end of April.

Thornbridge Hall, at Ashford in the Water, Bakewell, Derbyshire (DE45 1NZ), will host an unveiling event on Monday, April 30 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This will showcase the ‘Inspired by the Peak District’ logo and toolkit. This will then be available for businesses to use, to promote Derbyshire and the Peak District as a key region of the D2N2 area and also on a national level.

D2N2, the Local Enterprise Partnership for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, has long-championed visitor attractions, such as the Peak District, as a key driver of its areas economy. To this end, part of D2N2’s £250million European Structural and Investment Funds has been allocated to the ‘Inspired by the Peak District’ project, in the form of £1.49million European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) funding.

ERDF is one of three European Union funds in the D2N2 area. It helps small businesses and entrepreneurs to become more competitive and grow their operations. The main focus of ‘Inspired by the Peak District will be on promotional, marketing and online activity and an annual events programme.

Each delegate at the unveiling will receive a starter pack outlining practical ways in which they can use the Peak District brand. This will include the new toolkit, case studies showcasing how businesses are already using it, window stickers and labels.

There will also be the opportunity to network over curry and a selection of Thornbridge Brewery’s award-winning beers.

Anyone representing a business in or close to the wider Peak District is eligible to attend to find out how they can benefit.

Eligible businesses can sign up for the launch by following this web link: https://inspiredbytoolkitlaunch.eventbrite.co.uk.
