Hundreds of Nottinghamshire apprentices will have their own graduation day at Nottingham’s Albert hall on Friday March 20.
The Nottinghamshire Apprenticeship Graduation Day has been organised by education membership body EMFEC.
Paul Eeles (Pictured), Chief Executive Officer of EMFEC group and Chair of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership’s Provider Advisory Board – a strategic group which assists D2N2 in delivering its Skills for Growth Strategy; to inform, drive and promote the development of a business-led, value added and destination driven employment and skills provision across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire – said the ceremony would be a celebration of apprentices’ hard work.
He added: “Nottinghamshire should be proud of every single person who has completed an Advanced or Higher Apprenticeship. It is important that success is rewarded to encourage others to aspire to greater things, and that is what this ceremony will do.”
Joining the apprentices at the Albert Hall event in Nottingham city-centre will be special guest Dr Jade Etherington, the British alpine skier, and her sighted guide Caroline Powell. Their three Silvers and a Bronze at the Winter Paralympics made them the most successful female British Winter Paralympians of all time, and the first Britons to win four medals at one Paralympics.
Apprentices who completed their Advanced or Higher Apprenticeship between January 1, 2014, and January 31, 2015, and are either a resident or are employed by a Nottinghamshire business, can register direct via www.yourgraduation.co.uk/nagc to join the celebrations. Registration will close at 12noon on March 4, 2015.
