D2N2 are delighted to announce that Tim Freeman, Deputy Managing Director at Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd will be a guest speaker at our forthcoming AGM on 2 December.
Tim joined Toyota as a Production Manager in 2003 and has filled a variety of roles including General Manager of the Press & Weld Division, Director of Production Operations, and Production Vice President at Toyota, Peugeot, Citroen Automobile in the Czech Republic.
Earlier this year, Toyota’s Burnaston car plant in Derbyshire produced its 4.5millionth vehicle. Toyota has been building cars in Britain since 1992 when the Burnaston factory came on stream as Toyota’s first manufacturing centre in Europe.
The factory produces a car every 89 seconds when operating at full power with all 3,100 workers, manufacturing around 3,000 vehicles a week and on average 150,000 a year.
In September, Tim joined our main board as one of our private sector representatives.
D2N2 AGM
D2N2’s Annual General Meeting will take place online on Wednesday 2 December from 10am and is open to members of the public.
The meeting will include a summary of our projects and achievements over the last year. We will also unveil our plans for future growth, outlining the interventions D2N2 will make to ensure our region is the heart of the UK’s recovery and growth.
Alongside our speakers, we will be hosting a panel discussion with our Advisory Board Chairs answering questions put to them by our audience on topics as varied as business, skills, and place.
