D2N2 is seeking to appoint a new representative from the Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise Sectors (VCSE) to take over from current representative, Jane Howson, whose term comes to an end in July 2020.
Following the excellent work by Jane, the role will ensure that the views of civil society continue to be reflected within D2N2’s decision making.
The role of the D2N2 LEP Board is to provide strategic leadership to support and encourage economic growth in the D2N2 region.
Our Board includes representatives from across the public, private and education sectors who advise on key decisions and use their knowledge and expertise to support D2N2 in achieving its ambitions for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
We’re particularly interested in people who have a clear grasp of the VCSE sector across our region and are passionate about enterprise, skills development, social inclusion and sustainable economic growth.
This is an important time for our region as we look at post-COVID-19 recovery and the key emerging opportunities through our Local Industrial Strategy.
Our vision is to develop a more prosperous and low-carbon economy.
We want to create more sustainable employment with better skilled and higher value jobs for our future generations.
D2N2 Board
Our board members come from different backgrounds across our region and offer a breadth of sector knowledge and expertise. We are keen to hear from people that can build on this diversity.
The closing date for applications is Monday 22 June at 5.00pm.
