D2N2 seeks platinum business growth

A new contract opportunity is now open to businesses and organisations in the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire (D2N2) area.

‘Supporting High Growth and Ambitious Businesses as Part of the D2N2 Growth Hub’ is the latest tender put out by the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). It is an invitation to organisations who can deliver a ‘platinum business support service’ to high growth businesses in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and applications are open until Monday, May 22 at noon.

D2N2 is the LEP for the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area and works with its areas businesses, local authorities, skills and training providers and community and voluntary organisations to create 55,000 new jobs in ten years (2013-2023). To help its areas businesses grow, D2N2 set up the D2N2 Growth Hub, which works across the same area providing free and impartial support and advice to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with aspirations for growth.

As part of its mission both as a LEP and Growth Hub, D2N2 is offering a contract to organisations who can create and implement a business support package which is consistent with the D2N2 Growth Hub’s existing operations and works with the range of existing support already on offer to businesses.

Organisations should look to focus their efforts on developing programmes which:

  • Support firms with a turnover between £1million – £15million.
  • Work with scale up, potential scale up and ambitious businesses.
  • Include peer group sessions, networking sessions and 1:1 business coaching.
  • Develop business leadership and management.
  • Help businesses access the finance they need to grow.
  • Cover the entire D2N2 area
  • Help businesses identify routes to market their products and services.
  • Work with existing support programmes to ensure an all-round offer.

Projects should look to start in early June of this year (2017), and run for approximately 9 months (until the end of March 2018).
