Skills Bootcamps are short courses of up to 16 weeks which are designed to address local skills gaps, giving participants a range of skills to appeal to local employers. Everyone who completes the course is guaranteed an interview or they can choose to explore other options if they’d prefer.
The courses are available to people aged 19 or over in work, self-employed, recently unemployed or returning to work after a break who are looking to increase their skills in a specific area and fast-track into a new job or get ahead with their current employer.
Skills Bootcamps have been developed by the Government as part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs, in partnership with employers, providers and local authorities, to help people develop the skills that are in demand in their local area and get a better job.
